The idea behind ‘AUM: The Global Art Center’ finds its roots in a profound realization. Art often finds its genesis in adversity, and this project is no exception. Dr. Narendra Borlepawar, a talented artist, and writer, hailing from the small village of Kapsi in Nanded district, Maharashtra, has walked a path familiar to many artists – one marked by financial struggles.
After completing his education up to a Ph.D. against all odds, Dr. Borlepawar came to Mumbai, the bustling heart of artistic activity. Here, he faced the challenges of gaining recognition as an artist, understanding the crucial role of art galleries in bridging artists and art enthusiasts. He realized the need for a platform where talented yet undiscovered artists, especially from rural areas, could showcase their work and connect with society. This realization sparked the idea behind ‘AUM.’
The financial capital of India, Mumbai, attracts artists from around the globe. Driven by a vision to create a visual arts center that serves both local and international artists, ‘AUM: The Global Art Center’ seeks to contribute significantly to the promotion of art and culture in this dynamic city.
